The first day of school almost ALWAYS sucks. All you do is spend a half an hour sitting in each class period, listening to a bunch of teachers you don't even know tell you how hard this class is going to be. I mean, don't get me wrong, some teachers are pretty cool, like my English teacher last year… she was hilarious! And I had almost all my classes with my best friend Atolee, which was awesome! But most of the time, the first day sucks… most of the time. I'm Suki, Tsukiko Heartt to be exact, I'm the poetic, 'shy christian' girl of the school… and I'm here to tell you –- MY first day… well, you'll see.

"Bandyke", "Here!", "Boyd", "He~llo!", "Dyer", "I'm here!"… The teacher went on and on. Attendance was one of the most boring times of the day. Suki sat next to Atolee in the first row (it's always easier to see that way), Halie Dyer behind her, and the seat on her right –- empty. Suki was bored out-of-her mind, and it'd only been 10 minutes.
"Hathaway.", "Yeah, I'm here."

"Heartt."… "Heartt?" Suki barely even noticed the teacher calling her name; she was too busy staring at the kid in the doorway. He had dark-brown spiky hair and sparkling silver eyes (contacts?), not only that, but… were those green sunglasses on his head? What's up with that? Who cares? HE'S GOR-GEOUS!!!!!!!!!!

"HEARTT!", "Huh? Oh! I'm here!" Half the class giggled – including the new kid… Suki just slid lower into her seat trying to hide (maybe the first row wasn't such a good idea). 'New hot kid' handed the teacher a note and stole a glance at Suki, which just made her blush. Her heart was pounding – she KNEW where the teacher was going to put him… RIGHT STINKIN' NEXT TO HER!!! It'd been in every romantic comedy she'd ever seen... but she wasn't laughing. And it's not like she can just get up and move, class already started. Why did this kind of stuff always happen?

"Uh-kay-oo Key-sah-kay?" The teacher was trying to pronounce his name.

"Close. It's 'Uh-key-oh Key-sah-key, A-k-i-o K-i-y-s-a-k-i" Akio explained. Suki's thoughts were rushing through her brain so fast, it kind-of sounded like this: 'OMIGOSHSOTHATSWHATHISVOICESOUNDSLIKEITSSOHOTHESSOHOTWAITWHYAMICRUSHINGOVERAGUYLIKETHISITSSOIMMATURE'. All that and her heart was beating so loud that she was afraid that everyone could hear it.

"Okay, Akio, go sit over there next to Miss Heartt." The teacher o-so-casually told him. Suki swore she saw a smirk on the teacher's face, but it was probably just her imagination. Akio said okay and in what seemed to be the longest 6 seconds in Suki's life – he walked over and sat down.

It's only been 15 minutes of my first class here at planes high school, and everyone's staring at me – and I think the girl next to me is sick… Maybe I should pray for her, she's so RED.

Hoping Akio wouldn't notice her, Suki attempted to cover her face with her own dark brown hair, it didn't work very well. She looked over to his desk and saw a binder, a pen or two, and a bible. WAIT – a BIBLE?! Since when did ANYONE in public school bring a bible? Was he from some private school? Was he a Christian? Did he-- Too many questions, but some of Suki relaxed when she saw that little book, because now she wouldn't feel like she had to tell him about Jesus and be afraid of messing up. Suki was desperately trying NOT to look at Akio's face, she didn't want their eyes to meet – but how could you not look at someone with SILVER EYES? I mean – come on!

All this time the teacher talked about how the class worked and what they would be learning that year in class. Every one paid attention except Suki.
